[Movie Review] Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie

Things that I.... well hard to say it like disapointments but very minor
I suppose maybe the biggest one being was that Mike only had a cameo appearance with Kyle
Then they had this kid Cooper it's not like he was bad or anything he played his role very well
but I just felt that he didn't fit in a bit generic and typical

But I felt it would've been better with Mike because it would've added more depth without changing too much
He actually helps James to do the nerd videos from time to time, Which is what this Cooper character is in the film

Ofcourse maybe Mike was busy so he could'nt have a big role in the film
Pity that Kyle also didnt have a big role considering he did feature in quite a few eps like ikari warriors

Like for people watching ofcourse without having watched an ep or very little

But for fans I think it is a bit of a let down

This movie was done in a way where you dont actually have to be a fan or watched all eps or even one to enjoy it
But ofcourse if you have watched all the eps you'll appreciate the fun a bit more (athough not much more) so it was good the way it was done
because you can watch the movie with people who have or didn't watch the episodes including yourself

Although question is did they try that too much

One other thing again very minor complaint well not really a complaint I suppose more a tiny bit weird
was the quick day to night transissions when the nerd was in the plane from nice blue sky to orange sunset to black night sky
it never seemed that much time had passed, maybe it was making fun of castlevania 2

Could've also said that the nerd doesnt actually talk a lot in the film but if you look back at the eps
ofcourse he talks a lot reviewing the game but in the eps that he interacts with other people he doesnt talk that much

Other thing on how it was released I think it should've been free digital then have a price for the bluray or dvd

To buy the digital its 10$ or rent is 5$ that's not loads but still quite a bit
and to consider people who donated including me for example 10$ and I want to the get the dvd or bluray
I could've ended up spending 50$+ no movie is worth that

For me it should've been preorder the dvd or bluray and get the film digital for free
I think that would've been more fair because no one wants to wait months for the dvd/bluray release

My Score: 8/10

Must a watch for AVGN fans if your an anti fan or dislike AVGN then ofcourse your probably not gonna enjoy the film
But if you never heard and haven't watched any of his eps I would recommend this film because it is a good film although not a great film
